I'm still alive! It's been forever since I've gotten to blog, but today I'm doing a lot of computer work before the move so I'm in the right place at the right time! So much has happened since my last entry, I'll try and cover it all so that I can remember this crazy time later! I've decided that one of the reasons I take so many pictures is that otherwise I'll never remember just what I've done! Okay, so after the wedding Bryan and I needed some time to recover. Family was still in town and we wanted to see them as much as possible, so Daniel and I went up to Lehi and had lunch with some of them, sadly we didn't get to see everybody again before they all had to leave, I guess that just means we need to go visit! The next day we (Daniel and I) went swimming with some of Bryan's cousins and siblings. My little niece Jane was hamming it up for the camera, so of course I "had" to oblige and take lots of shots. What a funny little girl! Here she is with her VERY pregnant mother (see below).

This is by far my favorite shot of her. She's learning young!

I love how cute his curls are just out of the pool!

The next morning we got a call from our sis-in-law saying that her water had broken that morning and she was in the hospital! We were so excited to meet our new little niece! I was able to be there when she was born so that I could get some early pictures for the parents. It was an incredible to experience it from the other end. (not being the one in labor) What an amazing thing it is to have children! The baby was beautiful and only cried for a minute or so. What a sweet heart! Here's a picture of the happy family. (minus big sis)

Daniel was pretty excited about the new baby and tried to share his cheetos with her.

Daniel getting to hold her for the first time.

After the hospital we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and Daniel discovered how fun it is to blow bubbles in his milk. Ah the joys of motherhood!

A couple of days later I got to take some photos of my cousins' little girl. I honestly think she is one of the most gorgeous little girls I have ever seen! What a sweetheart too. She didn't want to look at me whenever I had the camera in front of my face, which made it a little difficult. (but I don't blame her!) Here are just a VERY few of my favorites:

Seriously. SOoo cute!!

The next day we sold put our car on the market and sold it, then bought a used car. We are very happy to have that out of the way and to have a little bigger car. Bryan needed some more leg room!! We finally went and got Daniel his Thomas the train and he is in love!! He even sleeps with them at night. Little boys are so cute.

Last day of insanity/The Big Day! (A.K.A. LOTS of pictures!)

This picture is typical Daniel. Shoving way too much food into his mouth! (This time it was whoppers they had bribed him with during the ceremony)

Tyler (my nephew) pulling off his GQ look quite smoothly.

The happy couple's debut. Outside of the Temple was incredibly windy, all the Wootton's and their big hair did not fair very well! (actually we were more concerned with keeping our dresses down! :0Here is the happy couple with all of the nieces and nephews. Daniel kept running out of the pictures yelling, "all done! all done!" good try child. He loved counting the beads on Aunt Shannon's neck. I totally freaked out when he pulled her necklace off, but it turned out to have a magnetic clasp. Lucky, lucky us! The next morning he woke up asking for Shannon and wanting to count with her again. It's so funny what kids remember! The reception was held in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in SLC and it was basically a family dinner. It was gorgeous! A jazz combo played and they had the most incredible floral arrangements. David's family, James, Casera, Julie and Kaitlyn. Love the bouquet!!!I swear this little guy can sleep anywhere! They look happy, but I think they were just too tired to really smile. We've all been there, right? The end of a perfect day.

Day three of madness:
We all got together for another BBQ at Steve's house. Great food and lots of room for the kids to run. Daniel discovered guns, much to my dismay. But he kept making beeping sounds as he'd shoot it which is just too cute. I wish he didn't ever have to grow up!
Steve has the coolest water slide that the kids played on. Daniel didn't like it so much as he was the smallest and an easy target with the water guns.We all got to try Nicole and Mel's Wii. It was so much fun! I'm not allowed to post pics of the adults playing, but it was a blast. We tried the sports one where you have to actually do the activity. Such a great idea. Later that night we gathered at a park for family portraits. Totally crazy. 31 people in one shot. (and a million combinations for different shots too)
When all was said and done we went home to prepare for the exciting day to follow.

Day two of chaos: Sunday We all went to our respective wards for church and then met up in the evening for dinner and a party. Mom's famous dinner rolls were gone faster than any of us could believe. I think she should have quadrupled the recipe. So. Good. The funny part is that only in the last couple of months has she started to make less and less rolls so that she doesn't have tons of leftovers every week. I guess she hasn't reached perfection yet! (her rolls have, just not the amount of them!) This was also the first chance our soon to me new brother in law had to meet the WHOLE family. I think it went well, he still got married! :) After dinner we celebrated 4 birthdays. It was pretty crazy, a bit like Christmas morning with the amount of packages being opened. 3 of the grand kids were born within 2 weeks of each other, so it was particularly fun to have them together near their birthdays.

We also celebrated my baby brother's 21st birthday, this was the happiest I'd seen him in a long time. We gave him a Star Wars DVD as I have learned out in the real world that we were not adequately educated in our youth as we were deprived of the wonder that is Star Wars. I have to protect my younger brother from embarrassment. One of the grand kids was kind enough to pick a flower for Shannon, (not the kid in this picture) but forgot to leave behind the roots. It was pretty cute. Daniel fell in love... with his cousins Thomas the tank engine set. He knew all of the trains by name and lined them up in every imaginable configuration. Guess who needs to go to the store! I hope they're not too expensive!

whew! what a week! it's been so much fun having all of the family here. Last Friday Bryan and I drove up to Idaho falls for one of his best friends weddings. It was nice to have all of that time together in the car without a child demanding our full attention. We spent the day with another good friend of his and had a great time. These boys have all been friends since jr. high, it's pretty cute to hear all of their stories. We drove back the same day and tried to get ready for all of the madness that was about to ensue. On Saturday I once again braved Ikea. (note to self, don't go to Ikea on Saturday the week after it opens!) Nicole was in town already and my mom hadn't been yet. Zoe decided to be my friend on the way there. We ended up having to drag all the kids around Ikea with us since the play land was chalk full. (You'd think they would have made a bigger play land place in a Utah store, no?) Needless to say they were all very tired by the time we left. I finally gave Zoe one of the pillows to lay on. Such a cutie.I also fell in love with these little pink shoes she was wearing. Seriously, adorable. I want to have a daughter just so she can wear pink shoes like these!!Later that night we had a family BBQ and pool party at my in-laws house. Everybody got into town just in time. There were 29 of us there and we did some serious swimming! (I affectionately called it Wootton soup)
I had a SERIOUS burn so I was glad it was dark when we finally started to swim. (I'd never had a burn that blisters before, not fun!)

I'm pretty sure they all had fun! :) Daniel has decided that he really likes his cousins and was trying to give on a kiss here.... yeah, I think we have to explain the boundaries on kissing! It was still pretty cute though, to watch him chase his little cousin as he ran away. (we're not a kissy family in the least)

Then to cap it all off, it was Tyler's birthday so we had cake and ice cream. Jonny thought that this picture was "perfect" because he got his basketball ring in it. funny boys. Be back later with day two of madness!
