Let's see... the update... Daniel is still sick, he's on the upswing though, so we're hopeful that it will be over in the next few days. On Sunday night for family time we watched the edited version of Gladiator. Love that movie, the cinematography and music are to die for, the story is great, the acting is great and lets just say it's not torture to watch Russell Crowe! It's one of DH's absolute favorite movies of all time. Just a random tidbit, when we were at the Colosseum in Rome our tour guide told us that Russell Crowe came and saw it after he made the movie, isn't that funny, you'd think if you were making a movie that largely takes place somewhere you would go and do your research? Oh well, he still did a fabulous job. Highly recommend it, in it's edited form though. Never seen it unedited, I know I don't want to!!! Let's see, on Monday we saw Heroes, which was as usual, awesome. Ack!!! I just remembered that I still haven't seen 24!!!! It's on my tivo and I completely forgot about it!!! I think we've been so busy lately that we're just enjoying sitting as a family and watching good stuff. On Tuesday morning my sister-in-law and I went for our weekly voice lesson, what we didn't know was that there was a major snow storm ahead of us!!! My sister-in-law is a great driver, so the 40 (+) min. drive up was completely uneventful, I'm just glad she was driving! We almost got into a wreck right in front of the house we were going to, it was crazy, but we were fine. The lesson was awesome. My new teacher is exactly what I've been needing, she's totally teaching me how to access the top of my voice and really sound like a soprano! It's nice to be with a female teacher. We're trying to decide what in the heck voice type I am, but I think I might just have to do a ton of research and go by role. You know, learn roles, decide which ones fit my voice well, then call myself something (ie soprano or mezzo) and then just still be able to perform the others. Just do my own thing I guess. Dh and I just realized last night that we don't have an overly scheduled week. Ahhhhhh finally some normalcy in our crazy household!!

Daniel's Discoveries.....
If I'm really cute Mommy will snap lots of pictures.... especially if I'm strapped into the car so I can't run anywhere.

My finger is the perfect size for my nose.... Mommy doesn't look too happy about this...

It takes a lot of practice to become a rockstar.

If the cookies are good enough, I can reach where no baby has reached before. (These are Grandma's cookies, well worth the effort!)

Three cookies in the mouth are always better than three cookies in the hand.

My arms will never be big enought to carry all the cars I want. Red cars are the best.

When I've had a long day even the hardest of floor makes a soft bed.

How awesome is this???

It's at Anthropologie and I think it would be so fun for a home office or something!

Too long!!! Life is just moving along too quickly! We now have about 5 months until the big move and are still no where ready for it. Daniel is sick....AGAIN. He's got Croup and this time it hasn't been as severe (we haven't had to take him to the emergency room), but it's held on much longer. So one sick little boy and one mommy who's tired of said child always being sick, even though he is adorable.
Yeah, this is what he usually looks like, a full mouth. He hasn't quite figured out the whole taking bites thing. At least this time he was able to get it all in, he usually just walks around holding it in his mouth with his hands. Such a funny boy. And I gave the poor little guy a HORRIBLE haircut. I guess that's just what happens when he just will not sit still. I literally have to wrestle him down. Today DH helped a family from church move and I worked on the house, then we went to Chuckarama to meet up with DH's extended family where we ate lots and lots of great food. Then we went to DH's parents where DS played with the toy cars and we took naps! It was wonderful. THen we came home and started on the laundry and are having family time by watching all the shows we missed this week on tivo, there are a ton since we had a VERY busy week. My Brother David was in town from Kansas so we went to see him on Monday at my brother Steve's house and on Tuesday at my parents. Then on Wednesday DH worked a LONG day and I started to put the house back together. (We had been housesitting the week before and litterally hadn't been home since.) Then on thursday we put on the Cub scout Blue and Gold banquet which went really well. Then on Friday DS still had croup so we stayed in. Which brings us to today. Tomorrow I'll probably go to half of church then trade with DH so that he can go to the other half. Then we'll go to my folks' for dinner. I also need to finish a layout for a competition at www.scenicroutepaper.com but I can't seem to come up with a good title... this is the picture I'm working with...

Any ideas???
