Well, we survived our first tornado. I was out driving when the warning came on the radio and wasn't quite sure what to do... I was pretty sure I wasn't in it's probable path..... so I just kept on on my way to costco. :) We are finally starting to settle into life here. Daniel is doing pretty well, he's FINALLY sleeping in his bed all night!!!!! I think it's ironic that that happened at precisly the same time we got a king size bed. One odd thing though is that lately he doesn't like to leave the house... totally wierd. I'm thinking that it's the only place that he knows really well and leaving makes him anxious. :( Poor little guy. He'll get over it soon I'm sure. Today while I was on the phone with a sister I caught Daniel trying to find "MeMa" (grandma) in the computer. (we video conference with her) He had his nose up to the screen and was looking around saying, "MeMa, where are you??" and "MeMa, you okay?" I thought it was sooooo funny. So yes, we need to call Mema soon. Bryan has his first big test on Friday and is spending all day every day on campus studying. He tried studying at home at first, but it didn't quite work. How could he ignore his cute little 2 year old? So now he does all of his studying on campus. He's really nervous for his test, but I know he'll do great. I'm still busy arranging and rearranging our house, I can't quite decide exactly how I want things to go. And I'm going to start thinking about paint colors soon, I just found out that I'm allowed to paint the appartment!! Makes me very happy. Daniel and I went to the mall today to walk around. It was an awesome mall with The Great Indoors, Sacks 5th ave., Pottery Barn Kids, and lots of other fun stores. And of course a fun playground for the kids. I was amazed at the number of children's clothing stores inside. There were seriously so many adorable outfits! I decided that's the primary reason the Lord didn't give me a girl first, he knew we were poor and that I'd spend waaay too much money on little girls' clothing! I realized today that I forgot to blog about a concert I went to right before we moved. Bryan and I got to go and see Michael Buble in SLC. It was incredible. We went with my sister Shannon and her husband Erik. It was a very welcome distraction from moving. He was seriously amazing, so much fun. It's a show that's not to be missed. I really wished that I had a good zoom lense, but I got some fun photos anyways.

I forgot to write about my favorite part of Sunday in my last post. At church I stayed back to find out where Sunday School was and Bryan started to take Daniel to Nursery. He reached up and grabbed some random woman's hand and kept walking. She thought it was funny and was headed there too, so she just walked with him. When they got to nursery she knelt down and asked him how old he is and he said, "two-haf!" We had no idea that he had any concept of age and that he knew his own. He never ceases to amaze me.

For the next little while I'll be posting old pictures as I get them off my camera and process them. Hope you don't mind the deluge of photos! This is my little nephew who I have found I really miss. What a cutie!

THis was Daniel's first real trip to red robin. He was soo exctited about the train that runs around the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant for little boys! I had never thought about it, but what a perfect idea!

Good Day/Bad Day
Today we attended the university ward for the first time. I'm excited to get to know people our age with kids Daniel's age. There were quite a few people there that we knew already, so it's not a huge adjustment. We'll be able to attend this ward until Daniel turns 3 in December. It was a good day at church and we were just happy to have found the building! We came home and Daniel was ready for a nap, so I laid down with him and of course fell asleep. When I woke up I wasn't quite with it. I sat down to eat some Taco soup I had made and spilled it ALL over my brand new sweater, so I ran to the kitchen to get some paper towels and in the process knocked over a pitcher of apple juice, it got all over the cabinets, floor and me. Then I went to throw my sweater into the washer. As I put the soap back up onto the shelf I got showered in soap! (I had forgotten that the lid to the vent in the top had fallen behind the washer last time). Of course Bryan was listening to music with his headphones and missed the whole thing! Yeah, so that was the bad day part!

Happy Birthday Bryan!!!!! 27 years old! In celebration I made him some crepes with fresh strawberries and cream for breakfast. He got some good studying in and then his family called and we were able to video conference with them for the first time. (we THINK we have it all figured out...) We met up with a bunch of other med1 students and their wives from church for a bbq at a park and had a really good time. Daniel especially loved playing on the play ground and trying to ride a skateboard. (lots of falling, but no blood so he thought it was funny) Still can't find the camera cable, I'll have much more later!

.....hi...... remember me? Yeah, it's been a while. We are (almost) settled in Ohio. It's really great here. It's taken some getting used to and still will. But "I really think I'm gonna like it here." (any Annie fans?) At first I thought that the humidity was going to be the death of me. I'd walk outside and my clothes would stick to my body and I'd be covered in sweat. Yuck. But the heat and some of the humidity subsided and I LOVE the weather! It's also beautiful here, very green and lush. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in the northwest. Our apartment is great. Not a ton of living space, but the bedrooms are big and the closet space is HUGE. (3 walk ins, and lets face it, that's what it's all about) I'll post pics when I'm all unpacked and settled. (hopefully later this week) Last night we went to dinner at some friends' house. It turns out that he and I are very distant cousins. (I thought he looked familiar!) They have the cutest little baby boy. Makes me baby hungry. Daniel was especially excited when they let him play in their "big truck." Haven't seen his eyes light up like that in a while, little boys are too cute. I haven't found the cable to download my pictures yet, but when I do, I'll be posting a lot more of what we've been up to.
